Sherrock wants to erase US Darts Masters disappointment in Copenhagen: "I feel embarrassed playing like that"

Fallon Sherrock averaged only 80 as she saw off Darius Labanauskas who certainly wasn't 'Lucky D' as he had a doubling disaster which played into the hands of 'The Queen of the Palace' in a 6-1 win to begin the Nordic Darts Masters.

But for Sherrock, it is a happy hunting ground after reaching the final last year and at the start of the game before a 142 checkout came out as a turning point, she admits New York and the poor display was still on her mind.

"I think I have a lucky spell in Copenhagen. I just love being here," said Sherrock to Online Darts.

"At the start of the game I was still thinking about last week and I was like I need to try and play better but as he kept missing, I kept taking. I think when it got to 3, 4-0 I was like just relax and play and then obviously that's when his game come out."

Going into further depth about losing to Leonard Gates at the US Darts Masters, she wants to put it right and said it was the worst display she has ever put in as she averaged 71 against the North American Champion.

"I definitely want to put it right this week. I mean it hurt quite a lot because I've never played that bad. I don't even think on TV I've played that bad, I feel embarrassed playing like that and disappointed in myself.

"My preparation wasn't how it should have been and this week I've kind of put it right so hoping for this win under my belt I can boost my confidence and go into tomorrow the better player."
