The first round has begun at Players Championship Eight with Raymond van Barneveld, Gary Anderson, Simon Whitlock and Ross Smith among the early players through.
With the top 16 not playing first, it means the ties of Michael van Gerwen, Gerwyn Price and Luke Humphries are ongoing. Anderson saw off Jamie Hughes 6-3 with a 101 average.
While Jermaine Wattimena missed match darts allowing Raymond van Barneveld to move through 6-5. Steve Lennon averaged 109 in victory over Callan Rydz, while Ross Smith swept aside Chris Landman.
Simon Whitlock saw off Jim Williams, while Chris Dobey was thrashed by an in-form Mike de Decker 6-0.
