Aspinall goes on adventure whilst in New Zealand checking out Lord of the Rings set

Nathan Aspinall has arrived "Down Under" this month, where the newly crowned World Matchplay champion will be competing in World Series tournaments in New Zealand and Australia in the coming weeks.

This weekend the New Zealand Darts Masters in Hamilton is on the schedule. But before the darters throw themselves into the tournament, they are visiting local attractions. For example, Aspinall went with his manager Martin Foulds to visit Hobbiton.

The Shire is famous for being one of the filming locations of Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, home to central characters Bilbo and Frodo Baggins among others. The visit did fall somewhat into the water because of huge rain showers. ''It felt like we were back in England,'' read the caption to some photos of the tour.
