There will be no fans at least for the foreseeable future at the PDC World Championship after tonight's sole session with 1,000 in at the Alexandra Palace after the move to Tier 3 from Wednesday and for Nathan Aspinall, he discussed what makes the crowd a big part of the action.
"There are guys that like performing to the crowd with the celebrations. it just gives you that extra bit of adrenaline, the noise, the environment, the intensity when there's people there watching you," said Aspinall to Sky Sports.
"There are a number of factors really, also the walk on. Darts is all about the walk on at the start of the game, it gets the crowd ready and gets all the people at home ready for the game. It is completely different."
