Beaton eases past Rydz to begin campaign, Wilkinson claims double win in impressive start

The thirteenth night of action in the PDC Home Tour is at it's half way point with Carl Wilkinson currently in pole position to move into the second round in a surprise start to proceedings.

Wilkinson breezed past Matthew Edgar in his first tie seeing off the star of Edgar TV in a 5-0 win with a 101.5 average and 55 percent on the doubles to set an early marker.

He followed that up with a 5-3 win over Callan Rydz which saw him hit a 97 average with a high checkout of 160 and 4/11 on doubles. There is one win left to claim the group needed and that is against Steve Beaton in the final game of the night.

Beaton will get the chance to force a decider in that last game when he faces off against Matthew Edgar in the next game. 'The Bronzed Adonis' began proceedings with a 5-1 win over Rydz who was out of sorts averaging just 71 and Beaton took full advantage with a high checkout of 121.
