The CDC has received a further boost with the tour now setting the criteria for US and Canada teams for the World Cup of Darts.
Players in the main PDC Order of Merit will still receive first places for the event but if there is none, the
CDC players who are top of the standings will take the places.
As well, the CDC's 2019 Continental Cup winner will receive a place in the 2020 US Darts Masters and North American Championship automatically meaning more incentive for those players going forward.
This is something that Peter Citera, CDC CEO is thrilled about and sees it as making the game stronger globally.
"We're thrilled to continue to play a stronger and stronger part in the game on the global stage," said Citera.
"We've been taking strong actions towards making sure our tour truly does represent both of the great countries it serves and this is another key piece in that puzzle. We also expect to announce additional initiatives supporting the Canadian market soon."
