Chisnall after ending in-form Suljovic's hopes at World Grand Prix: "I'm feeling very confident"

Dave Chisnall was superb in his opening tie of the World Grand Prix seeing off Mensur Suljovic in a 2-1 win who has been in terrific form as of late.

It was all about the previous accolades for Suljovic for Chisnall who said he was pleased to get through after the recent success of his Austrian opponent at the World Cup of Darts and Gibraltar Darts Trophy.

"He's beat me a few times on TV so nice to beat him on TV for the first time in a long time. Mensur's been out of the game for a couple of months but he's come back very strong and he's got to a final last week, he got to the final in the World Cup. I had a tough game and I came through it.

"I'm feeling very confident. I was confident going into tonight, it was just one of those games, it's the first round, it's the best of three it's hard. All the darts players will tell you the same, they don't want to play best of three."
