Smith after easing past Cullen in World Grand Prix opener: "It's going in the right direction but I want it to hurry up a bit"

Ross Smith is through to the second round at the World Grand Prix after easing past Joe Cullen in straight sets with not a lot coming back from 'The Rockstar'.

Smith spoke afterwards and admitted that his game is going in the right direction but it has been for a while so he doesn't want to stall.

"I was very nervous but obviously it went my way so I'm happy," said Smith post match.

"It's going in the right direction but I want it to hurry up abit. It's going a bit slower than what I hoped but it's all going in the right direction so I can't complain too much."
