The St Helens ace broke Cross' throw in the ninth leg, after Voltage failed to hold his throw within six turns. With a superb 11-dart in leg ten Chisnall secured the victory.
Chizzy will meet Raymond van Barneveld in the quarter-finals on Sunday afternoon. The semi-finals and final in Amsterdam will be played on Sunday evening.
