Jonny Clayton won the eponymous Darts Gala in Magdeburg on Friday night. Over 3000 fans present saw The Ferret win against Dirk van Duijvenbode in the final.

The event started with two groups of three players each. In Group A, Van Duijvenbode was joined by Joe Cullen and Fallon Sherrock. Van Duijvenbode won both group matches, while Sherrock was too strong for Cullen 4-3.
Clayton was in the other group with Phil Taylor and Max Hopp. The Welshman took wins over both in the group stage and Hopp beat Taylor 4-2.
In the first semi-final Clayton triumphed 4-2 against Sherrock, after which Van Duijvenbode beat Hopp (4-1). The Dutchman had three match darts in the final against Clayton, but the win went to his Welsh opponent 4-3.
