Gabriel Clemens sealed victory over Adam Hunt to conclude the first round at the Gibraltar Darts Trophy last night and as a result confirmed his spot at the European Championship in Dortmund at the end of the month.
Clemens has become the first German player to qualify for the European Championship in three consecutive years. Max Hopp previously qualified five times but not in a row.
It is also an interesting statistic for the German players due to being given more tournaments than any other country on the European Tour and will only have two qualifiers which are Clemens and Martin Schindler.
