A field of 96 players will compete for the title at the PDC World Youth Championship. The tournament will be played on Sunday, Aug. 20, until the final. The final itself is scheduled for Sunday, November 26. The prize pool for this tournament consists of £60,000.
All participants are guaranteed 250 pounds in prize money. That is the amount players receive if they finish last in the pool phase, which consists of 32 groups of three players. The number three in each group will receive 250 pounds.
The runner-up receives £300, while the 32 pool winners advance to the knockout stage with £500 each. An elimination in the last sixteen earns £1,000, while the eight quarter-finalists are guaranteed £1,600. For the two losers of the semi-finals, checks of 2,500 pounds await.
There are especially nice prizes for the winner and losing finalist. The runner-up receives 5,000 pounds and may participate in the Grand Slam of Darts in 2024. The junior world champion receives 10,000 pounds, may participate in the World Darts Championship and the Grand Slam of Darts.
If the junior world champion has already qualified for the Darts World Championship by other means, there will be an additional World Championship spot for Tour Card holders during the PDPA Qualifier on Nov. 27.
