Matthew Edgar in one of his latest videos on Edgar TV look at the PDC and where he would improve it.
This included better opportunities for Tour Card holders where he believes due to the current two year Order of Merit, certain players should be rewarded who are not yet in the higher echelons.
"We've got 128 players on tour. They're your Tour Card holders, they also qualify for the UK Open. Top 64 you get to keep your card, top 32 World Championship, top 16 everything. Big gap there between number 64 and 32, this is where you get some players such as Ryan Searle, Luke Humphries who we get to see at events like the World Championship. They do really well at those events but we don't see them through the year as much. I think maybe we should be looking at that category there," said Edgar.
As an experienced player who has been through Q-School a few times, Edgar believes the new format should stay albeit with a seeded system as well.
"Recently we've seen Q-School change to this new format of a preschool and then a Q-School. I love it, that needs to stay. No doubt in my mind."
"Maybe that needs to be extended to 256 players that play in that main Q-School group but I think there needs to be a seeded system. Either a Tour Card holder and then it'll go alternate between Challenge Tour and Youth Tour."
He also believes the World Cup should be changed slightly going forward.
"The World Cup doesn't allow for a form player. At the moment, it's done on a two year ranking system. I think we should go one player from the two year system and one player from a one-year system so you get a longevity and a form player."
