Evans looking for 'cutting edge' after joining MDA Promotions: "He has a proven track record in producing winners"

Ricky Evans is now officially part of the MDA Promotions stable after splitting from long term management, Nevada after 9 years earlier this month.

Home of the likes of Daryl Gurney, Jamie Hughes and James Wilson, the Kettering ace wants to go one step further with a manager who has a 'proven track record'.

“I’m delighted to join up with Matt Ward. He has a proven track record in producing winners and I need to have that cutting edge now," said Evans to Darts World.

“I’ll never change from having humour in my game. But I do need to switch it on and off and win big matches.

“I’ve had decent runs in tournaments. However, I need to be a quarter and semi-finalist more regularly now. I know I’ve got the ability.

“It’s been a really frustrating year for me on and off the oche. This is a really positive outcome and now I can just focus on playing darts again.”
