Ted Evetts heads into his final year on the Development Tour as the most successful player of all time with 13 events won.
Evetts finished the best of the rest after the opening weekend with Dom Taylor dominating proceedings and before he began his final year, he spoke to the Weekly Dartscast about what the tournaments mean to him.
"For myself, it's been huge. Before I started on the Development Tour, I was a mid 70's towards an 80 average player at best. Facing the best players week in and week out such as Dimitri (van den Bergh), Josh Payne, Keegan Brown, Michael Smith, they were the boys there when I was first starting," said Evetts to the Weekly Dartscast.
"It's helped me out massively. It's made me the player I am today and kind of taught me how to win tournaments instead of just individual games."
World Youth Championship goal
But one goal remains for 'Super Ted' and that is finally becoming World Youth Champion, a goal which he has nearly reached on multiple occasions.
"Obviously it's a target, if I could give all 13 tour events back just to have one World title, I'd give all the events back."
