The 24th Players Championship tournament of the season gets underway Tuesday from 1 p.m. at the Robin Park Tennis Centre in Wigan. A field of 128 players will compete for the day's victory.

Participants include a number of the biggest names in the sport including Luke Humphries, Michael Smith, Dave Chisnall, Jonny Clayton, Gary Anderson, Dimitri van den Bergh, Stephen Bunting, Joe Cullen, Rob Cross, Raymond van Barneveld and more.

A total of 125,000 pounds in prize money is distributed at each Players Championship tournament. The winner of the event will receive a check for 15,000 pounds.
