Dave Chisnall won the 23rd Players Championship of the year. However, the highest average of the day belonged to another player.

Mike De Decker beat Ryan Meikle 6-3 at the last 64, posting an average of 108.79, no one did better at Players Championship 23. 'The Real Deal' eventually stranded Chris Dobey 6-1 at the last 16.

The second and third highest averages, however, were for Chisnall. The 44-year-old Englishman defeated Mervyn King 6-2 in the quarter-finals, averaging 108.72. A round earlier, he had defeated Madars Razma 6-5 and then averaged 107.19.

In the top ten highest averages we find the likes of Chris Dobey, Wessel Nijman, Martin Lukeman, Jonny Clayton and Michael Smith among others.
