Players Championship Order of Merit: Big names Nathan Aspinall & Rob Cross among those outside qualification spots for Minehead

We are slowly approaching the end of the 2024 Players Championship season. After this week's duals in Leicester, 23/30 Players Championship tournaments have now been played. At the end of the season, the top-64 of the Players Championship Order of Merit may compete in the Players Championship Finals in Minehead.
Leading the rankings is Chris Dobey, who stands at 76,000 pounds in prize money. Behind Dobey follows Damon Heta in second place with 69,000 pounds. Dave Chisnall moved up to third place after winning his second Players Championship title of the season. Completing the top five are Ryan Searle (64,500 pounds) and Gary Anderson (63,500 pounds). Behind them follow Luke Littler (58,500 pounds), Ross Smith (56,000 pounds) and Stephen Bunting (52,500 pounds).
There are still a number of top players who must pull out all the stops to qualify for the final tournament in Minehead. Joe Cullen (56th) is narrowly among the field of participants, while Nathan Aspinall (66th), Rob Cross (74th) and Jose de Sousa (80th) are not qualified for the time being.

- I completely agree with Vincent's comments on "whistlegate". It's great to have someone with Vincent's exprience address this issue, so hopefully clearer and stricter guidlelines can be given to referees, security and members of the crowd. No whistling during throws, and something like: whistlers evicted and fined a hefty sum.
