Gary Anderson throws his highest ever average to beat Lakeside champion Andy Baetens 6-0

Gary Anderson has welcomed Andy Baetens to the immensely high level at the PDC. In the last sixteen of Players Championship 2, 'The Flying Scotsman' managed to win 6-0 over Andy Baetens in particularly strong fashion.

The two-time world champion recorded an average of 117.12 against the Belgian. Anderson's average means a new personal record for him. His old record stood at 115.15, thrown during a Players Championship tournament in 2017.

Anderson won the first leg with a 14-darter and then threw a 170 finish for a 12-darter in the second leg. An 11-darter and a 13-darter then put the Scot ahead 4-0. Anderson then managed to finish 124 in the fifth leg, before finishing in fine fashion with a 125 check-out for the match.
