Hedman and Warriner-Little added to World Seniors Darts Championship field

Deta Hedman and Alan Warriner-Little have been added to the field for the inaugural World Seniors Darts Championship which is due to take place next year.
Hedman was first reserve for the tournament as a ladies darts legend and one of the successful players in the history of the sport and will join fellow trailblazer, 10 time World Champion, Trina Gulliver in the field.
While, Warriner-Little is a former World Grand Prix champion and World Number One and both have been added to the field after the passing of Andy Fordham and withdrawal of Tony David.
'The Deadly Boomerang' was always a doubt for the event and after recent surgery, he has decided to recover instead of competing in the tournament.
The organisers have stated they still hope he will be a VIP guest at the tournament. But Hedman and Warriner-Little join the likes of Phil Taylor, Roland Scholten, Paul Lim, Martin Adams, John Part, Kevin Painter, Darryl Fitton, Peter Manley, Tony O'Shea and Ted Hankey at the Circus Tavern.
Don't think they should be calling it a world championship. Its an invitational. They are picking whoever they want and leaving out others. And keep in mind it is missing over 50s such as Anderson, Wright, King etc. Hardly an over 50s world championship when arguably the best ones aren't there. It will be interesting but its an exhibition.

- obviously littler has the potential to surpass everybody simply because nobody has been this good at this age before, but people who think he would be any kind of favourite right now against prime taylor in a big final have short memories. it's obvious that prime taylor wouldn't win as many world titles if he was playing today, but there's also good reason to believe he'd be winning more than anybody else. hell, his statistical profile still stands alone in darts history and he might statistically be even better if he was playing today with better equipment, larger beds, more competition therefore more motivation, etc.colt24-03-2025
