Max Hopp failed to take advantage of his second additional offered chance of qualifying for the PDC World Darts Championship on Saturday. He lost 7-2 to Jimmy Hendriks in the final of the qualifying tournament for players from the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany.
"Six wins today and one more would have taken me to the World Championship. Very painful,'' Hopp wrote on his social media afterwards.
The German also previously failed to qualify for the most important tournament of the year via the PDC Europe Super League. However, 'The Maximiser' gets another chance. Tour Card holders will play a qualifying tournament on Monday, November 28 to earn the last spots.
