Luke Humphries went down 6-1 against Daryl Gurney in the second round of the
Austrian Darts Open on Saturday night. 'Cool Hand Luke' was unapologetic about the conditions in Premstätten afterwards.
"Ridiculous conditions can’t play darts in arenas when it’s 18 degrees outside and 40 inside, even the (World) Matchplay is nothing like that.. can’t play to the best off your ability same as last year," said Humphries on Twitter.
When asked about how Gurney coped and he couldn't, he said: "Because he’s a high quality player, experienced and deserved the win! I’m only talking on my experience."
He also responded to someone who said cost them money on a bet. "I bet your winnings wouldn’t of covered how much I lost buddy, there’s always a silver lining."
