From 21 April to 23 April, the Austrian Darts Open is scheduled to take place in Graz, Austria. The winner of this European Tour tournament will not only receive £30,000 in prize money, but also another special prize.
The winner of the Austrian Euro Tour tournament will also receive a green jacket, which is called a 'janker' over there. A spokesman for PDC Europe explained to Dartsnieuws where this tradition comes from.
''It is a traditional jacket from the region of Styria, where the Austrian Darts Open is held. A local tourism agency came up with the idea of giving the winner of this event one of these 'jankers'", he told of this particular tradition.
