"I felt like I averaged over 150": Gerwyn Price thought 110 average was even better against Dolan

Gerwyn Price hammered in a 110 average to seal an epic win over Brendan Dolan at the European Darts Grand Prix in a triumph that he thought was even better than it was.

Price dealt a 6-1 win against The History Maker who had no chance amid the onslaught of the Iceman who will now face Gary Anderson in a mouth watering prospect for the fans in attendance at the Glaspalast, a European Tour staple.

''I felt like I played better than that'', he laughed after this game. I felt like I average over 150. I was really comfortable in that game. I was scoring well, but Brendan was always there. I think I thought he played particularly well on a few legs and probably kept pushing me. Probably should have won 6-0, but I'm happy to get a win.

But it could also be due to the presence of his family that he is performing with Peter Wright adding a superstition to the mix. 'My wife is my biggest supporter and obviously my daughter is here as well and Peter Wright always says whenever my wife's here I win so hopefully that continues and I can put another performance on for the crowd.

Next up is Anderson. As ever the 2018 Grand Slam meeting will likely be mentioned and he hopes to get one over his former rival. ''Hopefully it will be a cracking game between me and Gary. I know he is playing well on the floor. Both of us played well, but fingers crossed I'll come through that one.
