There was major confusion during Premier League Darts on Thursday night regarding a 121 checkout hit by Peter Wright during the fourth leg of his tie with Chris Dobey.
It was the second dart which caused confusion as footage showed that he missed the treble 13 which could be levied as cheating.
But the footage was actually an illusion and the call was actually correct. The flight in itself and not the point makes it look like it is outside the treble.
Erik Clarys on VTM2 spoke about it. 'The flight masked the tip of the arrow, making it look like Wright was throwing wide of the T13. But the arrow was indeed right.'
