Police launch enquiry after three people assaulted at Premier League Darts in Belfast with viral video of crowd punchup

After a video surfaced on social media during the opening night of the Premier League Darts, an investigation has been launched by Belfast police into three people including a woman reportedly being assaulted.

Footage shows an all-out brawl between several crowd members including many climbing over seats to throw punches.

A practice that has become more common at these sporting events especially with the presence of alcohol, this is another example.

"Police received reports of an altercation involving a number of people during a sporting event in east Belfast on Thursday evening (February 2nd)," their statement read as per Daily Star Sport.

"It was reported to police that two men and a woman were assaulted during the incident, however no serious injuries were reported.

"Enquiries are ongoing and police would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to the incident to contact 101."
