Compared to previous players who have struggled in the
Premier League Darts format,
Chris Dobey has done so while producing massive averages.
Dobey spoke after Manchester losing to Jonny Clayton 6-3 and said that while it is 'depressing', his game is still there and he still believes.
"That's part of the game. You're playing the best players in the world week in week out. You expect to be pushing them or giving them a game and I'm doing that week in week out. I'm losing with 105/106 averages.
"It's depressing at times but my game is there. I'm showing I'm pushing the best and I'm living with the best. I'm just not getting the results, this Premier League this year is all about experiences and learning."
"I'll take this in and it'll make me stronger, hungrier to be back there and I believe I will be back one day."
"You've got to believe in your own ability and be capable of getting yourself out of dark times. I believe that I'm still in this."
