Gerwyn Price was unable to take overall victory on Night 12 of the 2024
Premier League Darts in Rotterdam. For the Welshman, the semi-finals was his end point after defeat to Michael Smith.
Price started the evening by winning 6-3 over Rob Cross in the quarterfinals. "We and Rob didn't really play well, Price admitted afterwards to Viaplay, although he already knows the reason for such a lesser performance.
"I've been here so many times, and I understand that with the crowd and how big the arena is, but the wind around the place... I probably should have brought some heavier darts then I might have played a little better," he explains. "The lighter your dart is the harder it is to throw on that stage but I'm glad I got a win."
"It's the same every year," Price continues. "I don't know if it is the shape of the arena or a few doors open here and there but you just need to do the best you can and I did, I got a win."
In the standings, Price is still sixth, but already ten points clear of number four Michael van Gerwen. The top four after sixteen days of play qualify for the playoffs.
