On his
World Series of Darts debut, Jake Macmillan has been given the unenviable task of facing off against the recent Premier League Darts champion, Michael van Gerwen at the
US Darts Masters.
"I'm pretty excited. A little nervous but I can't wait to get there and take it all in," says Macmillan in an interview with the Weekly Dartscast. "Earlier this year I ended up winning the whole provincials which was an achievement in itself so to think just a few months later that I'll be playing at Madison Square Gardens it's pretty unbelievable really."
As mentioned, Macmillan faces off against Michael van Gerwen in the first round. With this being the biggest match in his young career though, Macmillan is yet to decide what his walk-on music will be.
"I would love to be able to play darts for a living. Right now I still work five days a week in a factory," he says. "For the walk-on song I still don't know what I'm going to use. I've been going through music trying to pick a song."
