Gary Anderson was sat on the bottom and in no mans land of sorts going into this week's
Premier League Darts in Nottingham but produced when it mattered most to win Week Six.
Wayne Mardle speaking to Emma Paton on the Sky Sports broadcast was full of praise for Anderson and said he is one of only a few that make it look easy.
"He doesn't big up his game enough in my opinion. I actually said in week one that I really like the way he was going about his business and playing and it's gone walkabouts. It's not been evident the past four or five weeks but tonight he got better and better and by that final, that was vintage Gary Anderson.
"There's not many players in the world that have made the game look easy. Michael Smith does and recency bias that springs to mind.
"But Gary is up there with some of the most fluent players we've ever seen. It doesn't get any simpler but he says it doesn't feel that simple so there's improvement to be made so look out the rest of them."
