Michael van Gerwen jokes with Dimitri van den Bergh at Belgian Darts Gala: ''Never won against me and not going to happen today''

In Hasselt's Trixxo Arena, the first edition of the Belgian Darts Gala took place Thursday night in front of some 5,000 fans. Besides some pro darts, some Famous Flemings were also present.

One of the highlights of the evening was a duel between Michael van Gerwen and Dimitri Van den Bergh. Both pro darters had a well-known Fleming by their side, as Van Gerwen got to play with singer-actor Niels Destadsbader and Van den Bergh was joined by former soccer player Olivier Deschacht.

Van Gerwen could not resist teasing Van den Bergh beforehand. "You've never won against me, Dimi. And that's not going to happen today either. Although, today you may, Dimi." Van den Bergh responded afterwards, laughing for the VTM 2 camera. "There is a bit of softness in that man's body after all. We'll take advantage of it all at once then for sure."

And Van Gerwen also kept his word, eventually winning again against Van den Bergh. 'Mighty Mike' then let himself go completely to the jubilation of the crowd.
