Milne after dumping out Sherrock on TV debut at New Zealand Darts Masters: "I've never experienced anything like that"

Kayden Milne made his TV debut at the New Zealand Darts Masters by dumping out Fallon Sherrock 6-5 in a deciding leg in Hamilton.

Milne spoke about his feeling post match and also the run up to the tournament since qualifying and dealing with the pressure before getting to the oche.

"Honestly I don't think it will sink in until maybe I get back and check my phone. I knew my first couple of legs, I was feeling a bit shaky and I just told myself just have some water and calm down. I think the crowd helped me to be honest the way they were getting so loud for me was crazy, I've never experienced anything like that," said Milne to Online Darts.

"It's been hectic, organising sponsors and trying to prepare for it. I didn't know who I was going to play, I just knew I needed to bring a top level, I wouldn't say my performance tonight was a top level but it got the job done."

In terms of his future goals, he eventually wants to come to England to play but it is more long-term.

"I'd love to come over to England and play on the ProTour but I've got a long way to go before I get there that's for sure. Short term aims I'd like to play in any tournament I can and try and win. Honestly it's tough for New Zealand."
