Nijman signs for Mission Darts on return to darts after match-fixing scandal

Mission Darts have added another player in the form of Wessel Nijman has signed a contract with the manufacturer.

Nijman returned to the darts circuit last month after a year-long suspension. The Dutchman was involved in a match-fixing scandal in the MODUS online tournaments during COVID and was subsequently suspended for five years, including two and a half years of probation.

This was seen underneath the post with replies showing their displeasure at Mission signing Nijman, a former two time Development Tour winner as his past continues to hang over him.

He returned at NDB tournaments wearing a Mission patch which confirmed the signing before the announcement and he can return to the PDC next year.

“Knowing Mission have confidence in me, fills me with positivity and makes me feel that I can achieve my full potential," said Nijman.
