Noppert looks back with satisfaction at World Matchplay: "I can be proud of my tournament"

Danny Noppert failed to reach the final of the World Matchplay. The Freeze went down 17-11 against Gerwyn Price in the semi-finals.
Noppert could put his defeat into perspective. "I can be proud of my tournament. I beat Brendan Dolan, Daryl Gurney and Dirk van Duijvenbode, they are not the least players", the 31-year-old Dutchman told Viaplay.

"I stay positive and look forward to seeing my son and girlfriend again", Noppert continues. "And I hope Michael van Gerwen wins the tournament."
