This year, 24 darters are once again competing in the Milton Keynes and most of the field of participants have been on the stage of this tournament before.
The participants at this major tournament include only two rookies. Josh Rock is the highest ranked newcomer. 'Rocky' has now climbed to 21st place in the world rankings.
Martin Schindler is the other debutant at the Masters. 'The Wall' is currently ranked No. 23 on the PDC Order of Merit, right behind his compatriot Gabriel Clemens. For the first time, two German darters are competing in this tournament.

- I completely agree with Vincent's comments on "whistlegate". It's great to have someone with Vincent's exprience address this issue, so hopefully clearer and stricter guidlelines can be given to referees, security and members of the crowd. No whistling during throws, and something like: whistlers evicted and fined a hefty sum.
