PDC announces TOTO as sponsor for Dutch Darts Masters in Den Bosch

The PDC announced Wednesday that TOTO has become the title sponsor of the Dutch Darts Masters. This tournament is part of the World Series of Darts in 2024.

On Friday, January 26 and Saturday, January 27, sixteen top darts players will come to the Maasport in Den Bosch to compete for one of the World Series titles.

Seven participants have already been announced for the Dutch Darts Masters. Three-time world champion Michael van Gerwen will be in action, as will five-time world champion Raymond van Barneveld, Dirk van Duijvenbode and Danny Noppert.

Belgian Dimitri van den Bergh will also make his appearance at the Maasport, as will Michael Smith and Peter Wright. The remaining participants will be announced later.

PDC Chief Executive Matt Porter commented: “We are excited for our first visit to Den Bosch as part of the World Series of Darts schedule next year. We look forward to working with TOTO, who have had a strong involvement with darts for many years, to elevate the event across the Netherlands.”

TOTO has been investing a lot of money in darts in recent years. It is a sponsor of the Dutch Open in Assen, and has established a professional darts team within the PDC. Michael van Gerwen, Raymond van Barneveld, Dirk van Duijvenbode, Danny Noppert, Vincent van der Voort and Gian van Veen are part of this team called the TOTO Dart Kings.

As the Netherlands' only professional darts team, they are actively collecting performance data to improve their decisions during matches. The team also focuses on the mental aspect of the sport and supports each other to get better in all areas. Currently there are a nutritionist, osteopath, mental coach, cook, orthomolecular doctor and a haptonomist attached to the team.
