Gerwyn Price has admitted to being burned out of sorts as of late due to the current darting schedule which has seen most players not home for an extended period for quite some time.
Price took care of business easing past John Henderson 6-2 but added that motivation is also hard to come by as of late.
"I thought I played pretty steady, nothing special but I hit the right numbers at the right time and I thought the last two or three legs I played a little bit better," said Price post match.
"It certainly wasn't my A-game but it's hard to get some motivation lately with being away so long and playing so much and even being here Wednesday and being away so long before I even have to play is quite difficult."
"It's just mentally draining on there, I think I might have looked fresh on there but I certainly didn't feel it."
On his Grand Slam disappointment, that wasn't the case for Price: "To be honest, it was quite a relief because there's a lot of it, it is a lot of pressure. I never really feel any pressure but that week it was draining, it was long. I was in the car on the way home and I was happy to go home and I shouldn't feel like that."
