Price on needle with Huybrechts during World Darts Championship classic: "Maybe next time, he won't be so boisterous"

Gerwyn Price faced off against Kim Huybrechts in a true PDC World Darts Championship classic as he won in a sudden death leg.

"It was tense, it was a good game. It was nip and tuck, I don't think especially the last set, none of us played really well and it went right to the wire and thankfully I had the throw otherwise it would have gone the other way," said Price post match.

He was up at times by many legs compared to Huybrechts but as he said this tournament provides a leveller and players can never be truly out of contention.

"This tournament and the World Grand Prix, it's a leveller. It doesn't matter if I'm six or seven legs up because of the set format and the lesser player can win. Kim could have won today but thankfully I had the throw and I got through it."

There was needle between the pair with referee Kirk Bevins having to step in and Price spoke about that.

"Kim knows from the past, we've played loads and loads of times and everytime we bring this energy, I seem to come through on top so maybe next time when he plays me, he won't be so boisterous."
