Price on relationship with players off the oche: "We're all there to do a job but we still get on off it"

Gerwyn Price is often known as a polarizing figure on the oche, however 'The Iceman' gets on well with his rivals off it.

Price went on the Happy Hour podcast with prominent YouTuber, JaackMaate to discuss all manner of topics including a story from the second Premier League night this year.

"I was out with Joe (Cullen) in Liverpool, that's the first time I've ever seen Michael (van Gerwen) out, he's never been out, I've never seen him out for a night out. He's not shy, I think he racked up a bill like fair play to him," he said on the Happy Hour podcast.

This is especially the case when it comes to playing ProTour weekends with not a lot else to do.

"People don't realise, you're on stage to do a job and off stage, a lot of us get on really well. We go out especially on ProTours especially in Barnsley and Wigan, you can't just sit in your hotel room all the time so you tend to go out with the players even if you're playing cards or if you go out for a night out. We're all there to do a job but we still get on off it some of us."

"With his stature (Van Gerwen) , sometimes if he goes out, you can imagine what people are like with him so it was nice to see him out. I hope he comes out more so I don't have to put my hand in my pocket so much."
