Price warns rivals after winning title at World Series Finals: 'I reckon in three years time I'll pretty much be unbeatable'

Gerwyn Price won the title at the World Series of Darts Finals on Sunday night at the AFAS Live in Amsterdam at the expense of Dirk van Duijvenbode.

For Price, back as world number one since July, it was his first televised title of the season. Yet 'The Iceman' does not want to describe his first nine months of 2022 as bad.

''I think I've had a decent year considering that I haven't been at my best'', he told Online Darts. ''It's a lot of big tournament coming up towards the end of the year. Like I said I've been rubbish most of this year, but I've still been doing alright.''

Price still sees plenty of room to grow even further, but it will take time, according to the 37-year-old Welshman. In doing so, Price warned his rivals in advance.

''I reckon in three years time I'll pretty much be unbeatable. Everybody else is all experienced. Michael Smith, Michael van Gerwen and Jonny Clayton done a lot of BDO. I'm really new to this compared to all those. So another three years where I can improve a lot more and I'll be very tough to beat.''
