Rhys Griffin, Adam Hunt and Tom Lonsdale share highest average of Day 1 at UK Q-School

The first day of the first phase of UK Q-School was completed in Milton Keynes on Monday. Eight players managed to qualify for the final stage in the process.

The day's highest average was split between three players. Welshman, Rhys Griffin defeated Steve Woodburn 5-0 in the opening round, posting an average of 104.38.

Griffin, who lost a round later, incidentally had to share that highest average with Adam Hunt. The Englishman also achieved 104.38 during his 5-0 win in the last 256 against Justin Giles. Hunt subsequently made it to the last eight and is assured of a place in the final stage of UK Q-School.

Remarkably, there was a third player with the exact same average of 104.38. That was that Englishman Tom Lonsdale, who won 5-0 over Craig Watkins in the opening round. However, Lonsdale went down 5-3 a round later against Pat Scurfield.
