The Ricoh Arena in Coventry is set to host three further TV events and the PDC Winter Series behind closed doors across a busy October and November period. The Premier League Play-Offs and Grand Slam of Darts will take place on new dates.
Following the World Grand Prix (October 6-12) the Ricoh Arena in Coventry will host a couple more televised PDC events.
Due to the corona crisis, there is currently no crowd allowed at the televised tournaments in the United Kingdom. As a result, majors are relocated to a location which offers a darts location and hotel.
For this reason, the World Matchplay was already being held behind closed doors in Milton Keynes in July. However, this location is used for snooker tournaments in October and November. A new location was found in Coventry, where the World Grand Prix will be played first.
The Premier League Darts play-offs will be played in the Ricoh Arena on October 15. Glen Durrant, Peter Wright, Nathan Aspinall and Gary Anderson are competing for the title on this evening.
There will be three more events in Coventry in November, with firstly the PDC Winter Series from November 10-14. Also the Grand Slam of Darts (November 16-24) takes place in the Ricoh Arena, followed by the Players Championship Finals (November 27-29).
