The third round is the main name of the game now at the
UK Open with Richie Burnett through to the penultimate game before the draw will be confirmed for the fourth round featuring the big names.
Burnett saw off James Richardson 6-2 with a commanding victory on the Main Stage where 'The Prince of Wales' was clinical on the outer ring converting 6/8. It also ends the Richardson story with son Josh also out on Stage Four.
While also on the Main Stage, Niels Zonneveld also booked his spot in the Third Round surviving a spirited comeback from the in-form Keegan Brown in a 6-3 win. Also in-form is Jamie Hughes but Florian Hempel paid heed to that reaching the fourth round with a stunning 126 checkout to complete the job over on Stage Two.
Also through to tonight's action includes Ian White, Mensur Suljovic, Keane Barry, Rowby-John Rodriguez who took down a lot of people's dark horse in Richard Veenstra 6-2 as well as Ricky Evans defeating Graham Usher.
