Fallon Sherrock will be among the leading names to be involved at the PDC
Women's Series which will restart in late August with an expanded 12 event format which will take in Niedernhausen, Milton Keynes and Barnsley.
With tournaments clashing though on the WDF circuit including the Welsh Open, Sherrock has pinned her colours to the mast and urged players to get involved with the riches that the Women's Series can bring including World Championship and Grand Slam spots.
"It's brilliant for the women's game and it's a great thing for us because now we've got to go to Germany and Milton Keynes and Barnsley so it's opening up and we've got 12 events where as last year we had one weekend so it's definitely opening opportunities for the women," said Sherrock to The Darts Show podcast.
"I hope the women especially after the lockdown we get back out there and just support the event as I know it's clashing with some of the other events (Welsh Open etc.) but I think the women have just got to go straight and support the event and prove to everyone how we can play."
"To have the opportunity to play at the World Champs and the Grand Slam. I've never played at the Grand Slam but for me that's one of my goals. But to tell everyone else to try and play at the World Championship because it's such a great experience. It's something we've all watched for years and years and to actually get up there and play a game, it could change your life."
Match practice and keeping sharp in the Online League
The Milton Keynes ace has been getting practice in winning a week on the Online Darts League and she discussed how that has helped also.
"I found the whole experience really good because obviously where we've had nothing to really play in having the Online League gave us the opportunity to perfect our games, get back to playing and it's often a variety of players. I really enjoyed it, at the start I was like how do I play, I can't remember how to get back into Matchplay but the last time I played in it I won the whole week. I'm looking forward to going back to Champions Week now."
"Confidence wise, it's boosted it through the roof knowing that I can beat these high standard players and come out an actual winner out of the whole week. My confidence wasn't great to begin with but playing in the Online League definitely boosted it back up and I feel very confident with my game."
