Sherrock wins back-to-back PDC Women's Series titles with victory over Hedman

Last year, Fallon Sherrock was pipped to the top two in the PDC Women's Series by Deta Hedman and a place at the World Championship went to 'The Heart of Darts'.

But it is Sherrock who leaves the opening day of action in a commanding position at the top of the Order of Merit after seeing off Hedman 5-3 in the final of Event Three.

It is back-to-back titles for 'The Queen of the Palace' who has beaten some tough opposition to win with a 97 average in the final. This after seeing off Anastasia Dobromyslova 5-1, Corrine Hammond 4-3, Rhian O'Sullivan 4-2, Jo Clements (4-1) and Sarah Roberts (4-1).

Throughout the tournament, her average did not stray below 81 and the onus will now be onto the final three events of the weekend to potentially book a Grand Slam spot and put herself in place for a potential World Championship spot next time out.
