Smith reflects after losing out in Belgian Darts Championship Final: "I'm happy I made the final but I want to get a winner's trophy now"

Michael Smith lost out to Gerwyn Price in the final of the Belgian Darts Championship in an 8-3 rout from 'The Iceman'.

Smith though had a great weekend as he aimed to claim his first European Tour title since Gibraltar in 2017.

'Bully Boy' who has been open in the past about his dislike of the European Tour has picked up a big amount of money that will mean he won't have to qualify for events like he has for the next one but the desire is there to be back in the winners' circle.

"Gerwyn played well there. The three missed darts at tops killed me. He is an amazing player and a gent away from the game. I'm happy I made the final but I want to get a winner's trophy now," said Smith to LiveDarts.
