Smith seals European Championship spot with Hopp win, Cullen pounces on poor doubling display to ease past Chisnall

The Quarter-Final line-up is almost complete at the International Darts Open in Riesa and for Ross Smith, he is not only into the final session but also the European Championship next weekend.

Smith who hit a 112 average in his first round display before producing a stunning comeback to dispel Gerwyn Price had Max Hopp next in his sights.

He saw off the home hero in a 6-4 victory to confirm his spot with four 180's, a high checkout of 120 and 60% on the doubles, it was a really impressive display from the Deal ace.

From excellence on the doubles to a poor doubling display, Joe Cullen eased past Dave Chisnall in a 6-1 win. This saw the St Helens ace down at 14% on his doubles as he headed out to 'The Rockstar'.

Cullen himself was impressive in spells hitting two 180's, a high checkout of 113 and 42% on the doubles as he pounced to move through.
