"Speaking to Matt Porter, he said back-to-back and I said I fancy it": Confident Cross seals Oceanic World Series clean sweep

Rob Cross swept aside home hero Damon Heta to seal the New South Wales Darts Masters title to follow on from winning in Hamilton at the NZ Darts Masters last week. It is a third World Series of Darts crown for 'Voltage'.

Cross leaves Australia and New Zealand full of confidence with an 8-1 win in the final and a standout Wright-wash win over Peter Wright with a 109 average in the semi-finals.

Ominously enough, he said he spoke to Matt Porter, the PDC Chief Executive who asked him if he could win another and he said he fancied it. As ever with Cross, a dangerous 'Voltage' is one to be feared and he showed it this week.

"I was speaking to Matt Porter and he said back-to-back today and I said I fancy it. Just to stand here today is very surreal, the crowd's been brilliant to me all day and I've really enjoyed my time in Australia and New Zealand. Love to come back and I'm very grateful.

Now ahead of the rest of the year, he goes into it full of confidence with the World Series of Darts Finals, plenty of European Tour, ProTour action and the World Grand Prix still to come before the back end of the year.

"I think I'm in a good place after this week and last week. I'm enjoying my darts I would say that and Damo didn't really turn up in the final. I feel for him a little bit but you've still got a job to do."
