THROWBACK VIDEO: Kim Huybrechts throws the match of his life at Grand Slam with nine-darter to defeat Van Gerwen

From Saturday, November 11 to Sunday, November 19, the seventeenth edition of the Grand Slam of Darts will be played in Wolverhampton. Ahead of the start of this tournament, Dartsnews looks back on special moments from the history of this tournament.

Kim Huybrechts provided the highlight of the tournament at the 2014 Grand Slam of Darts by throwing a nine-darter against Michael van Gerwen. 'The Hurricane' not only threw a perfect leg and a 170 finish, but defeated 'Mighty Mike' 16-10 after an unparalleled match.

The Belgian was truly unleashed, throwing an average of almost 105 in the quarterfinals of this edition of the Grand Slam of Darts. The nine-darter fell in the 21st leg, with it Huybrechts broke the Dutchman for a 14-7 lead. Huybrechts started with two 180s, only to polish off 141 and what followed was a wonderful explosion of joy.
