Due to Coronavirus, darts has come to a halt but DartsNews as a result takes a look back at some historic moments from darting history with this time Adrian Lewis and James Wade being the focus.

The semifinals of the 2012 PDC World Championship between Adrian Lewis and James Wade is well known as one of the most remarkable games of darts in the showpiece event ever.
The match is also known as the one that spawned 'wind-gate'. Both players were affected by gusts of wind seemingly going across the stage, hence making it more difficult for Lewis and Wade to hit the number they were going for.
The game was even stopped temporarily to find a solution to the problem.
Wade was least affected by this in the early going and took a 5-1 lead in sets. The Machine’ only needed one set from there to reach the World Championship final, but then capitulated seemingly due to this problem.
Lewis returned to the foray from there at 5-5 and won from there. It proved pivotal as he went on to see off Andy Hamilton in the final.
